List your reasons for quitting smoking on a piece of paper, a post-it note or a format of your choice. Keep your list nearby. This can be a powerful tool for helping boost willpower and keep you on track in your quit journey.

Identify your triggers and disrupt their power with new activities like walking, cycling, a hobby, a call or visit with a friend or family member, especially during times of stress.

Ready to quit smoking? Smokers' Helpline, operated by the Canadian Cancer Society, offers free, confidential, and evidence-based support 24/7. This non-judgmental service provides tailored education and resources from quit coaches, access to innovative cessation programs, and information about other helpful resources in your community. Smokers’ Helpline serves PEI, Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and Yukon.
Bilingual services are available in English and French by phone at 1-877-513-5333 and online at smokershelpline.ca, with text messaging support in Ontario, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba.
